Practise negotiation, compromise, and persuasion language in a structured collaborative context

Develop strategic thinking — students must communicate effectively to achieve their role's objectives

How it works

  1. 1

The AI generates a scenario with an initial situation, multiple roles, and clear objectives for each role

  2. 2

Students are assigned roles and read their character's goals and constraints on their device

  3. 3

As the scenario unfolds, the teacher introduces branching points that change the situation

  4. 4

Student decisions and language shape the story's outcome — the AI tracks and responds to the group's direction

Frequently asked questions

How complex are the scenarios?
Complexity scales with difficulty. Easy scenarios have 2 roles and a straightforward objective. Hard scenarios involve 4+ roles with competing interests, complications, and multiple branching decision points.
Can I build my own scenario?
Yes. Describe your scenario in the topic field — e.g. 'A team must decide whether to delay a product launch after discovering a safety issue' — and the AI builds the roles, objectives, and complications.
What happens at branching points?
The teacher introduces a complication — a new piece of information, an unexpected change, a constraint — and students must adapt their communication strategy. This keeps the scenario dynamic and prevents rehearsed responses.
What equipment does each student need?
Each student reads their role brief and submits responses on their phone or tablet through a browser. No download or student account required.
How much teacher preparation is needed?
Minimal. The AI generates the full scenario, roles, and branching points on demand. Teachers review the scenario before class — typically a 2-minute preview — and can add their own branching points if desired.
Is Scenario Simulator free to use?
Yes, Scenario Simulator is free. Students join via a browser link — no student accounts or downloads required.
